Gobernador Rossellό anuncia desembolso de más de $1.3 millones en reintegros

(14 de abril de 2019, La Fortaleza- San Juan, Puerto Rico) El gobernador de Puerto Rico, Ricardo Rosselló Nevares, informó que su administración ha desembolsado más de $1.3 millones en reintegros correspondientes a la contribución sobre ingresos de individuos de pasados años fiscales, ciclo contributivo 2018 y por crédito senior.

Durante este proceso contributivo 2018, Hacienda ha recibido sobre 700 mil planillas, lo que representa un aumento de 98 mil planillas comparado con la misma fecha del pasado año. De igual, hemos desembolsado sobre $160 millones de reintegros.

Secretario de Asuntos Públicos anuncia creación de comité para transferir WIPR a entidad sin fines de lucro

(11 de abril de 2019 – La Fortaleza, San Juan) El secretario de Asuntos Públicos, Anthony Maceira Zayas, anunció que el Gobierno emitió una carta a la Junta de Supervisión Fiscal (JSF) en la cual les informó sobre la creación de un comité especial a cargo de transferir los derechos y propiedad de la Corporación de Puerto Rico para la Difusión Pública (WIPR) a una entidad privada sin fines de lucro.

Governor Rosselló signs Public Energy Policy Law

San Juan – Governor Ricardo Rosselló Nevares signed today the law that will establish the public energy policy of Puerto Rico and which requires the progressive elimination of the use of fossil fuels as a source of power generation.
To this end, the law establishes a new timeline for the implementation of renewable energy on the island: the elimination of 20 percent of fossil fuels by 2022; 40 percent by 2025; 60 percent by 2040; and 100 percent renewable energy by the year 2050.

Gobernador Rosselló Nevares firma Ley de Política Pública Energética

(11 de abril de 2019 – La Fortaleza, San Juan) El gobernador Ricardo Rosselló Nevares firmó hoy la ley que establecerá la política pública energética de Puerto Rico y la cual requiere la eliminación progresiva del uso de combustibles fósiles como fuente de generación de energía.

Con este fin, se establece una nueva cartera de energía renovable: eliminar 20 por ciento de combustibles fósiles al 2022; 40 por ciento al 2025; 60 por ciento al 2040; y un 100 por ciento para el año 2050.

(9 de abril de 2019 - La Fortaleza, San Juan) El gobernador Ricardo Rosselló Nevares, anunció que la Oficina del Principal Oficial de Finanzas Públicas de Puerto Rico hizo público el borrador del presupuesto recomendado del Fondo General para el nuevo año fiscal (2019-2020) a través del portal cibernético de la Oficina de Gerencia y Presupuesto (OGP) y de la Autoridad de Asesoría Financiera y Agencia Fiscal (AAFAF).

(8 de abril de 2019 – La Fortaleza, San Juan) “Hemos establecido conversaciones con AES Energy Systems, firma dueña de la planta de carbón en Guayama, para en un corto plazo y como meta del 2020, tener otra alternativa de fuente de energía que reemplace el uso del carbón en Puerto Rico. Por el momento, hemos mirado la biomasa, renovables o el gas natural.

San Juan – Puerto Rico Governor Ricardo Rosselló today announced that the island’s power grid will stop using carbon as fuel to generate electricity by 2020, moving away from a polluting fossil fuel and towards a cleaner energy source.
“We are in talks with AES Energy Systems, the firm that owns Puerto Rico’s carbon plant in the municipality of Guayama, in order to identify a cleaner form of energy by next year”, said Governor Ricardo Rosselló.

(7 de abril de 2019- La Fortaleza, San Juan) - El gobernador Ricardo Rosselló Nevares, anunció el envío de $51 millones en reintegros como parte del compromiso de esta administración y del secretario de Departamento de Hacienda, Raúl Maldonado Gautier, de pagar éstos antes del 31 de mayo de 2019 para aquellos que hayan radicado sus planillas antes del pasado 31 de marzo.

Gobernador Ricardo Rosselló Nevares anuncia envío de nómina de $6 millones a otro grupo de patronos que retuvo a sus empleados luego de los huracanes Irma y María

(6 de abril de 2019) – El gobernador Ricardo Rosselló Nevares anunció el envío de una nueva nómina del Beneficio por Retención de Empleados (ERTC por sus siglas en inglés), a otros 116 patronos que retuvieron a sus empleados luego de los huracanes Irma y María.

“En esta ocasión, estamos enviando créditos por $6,104,296 a 116 patronos adicionales que apostaron a su equipo de trabajo luego del impacto de los huracanes Irma y María. Esto es parte del compromiso de aportar a la recuperación del sector económico de Puerto Rico”, sostuvo el primer ejecutivo.

Governor Rosselló announces flights between Madrid and San Juan with Iberia throughout the year

(April 4, 2019 – Seville) In the framework of the World Travel Tourism Council (WTTC) World Forum that is currently taking place in Seville, Governor of Puerto Rico Ricardo Rosselló announced with Iberia that the airline will expand its operation on the Island to the winter season and will now offer direct flights between Madrid and San Juan throughout the year.
