Gobernador Rosselló Nevares anuncia legislación para autorizar apuestas en deportes y juegos electrónicos

(1 de abril de 2019 – La Fortaleza, San Juan) El gobernador Ricardo Rosselló Nevares anunció legislación dirigida a autorizar, por primera vez en Puerto Rico, las apuestas en eventos deportivos y juegos electrónicos, lo que incluye las apuestas por Internet que se originen en la Isla.

La legislación busca autorizar este tipo de apuestas, que han tenido un auge en tiempos recientes y que podrían generar sobre $3 mil millones anuales para el año 2023 en los Estados Unidos.

Governor Rosselló receives the new chief executive officer of the DMO at La Fortaleza

(March 14, 2018 – La Fortaleza, San Juan) Governor of Puerto Rico, Ricardo Rosselló, congratulated the Board of Directors of the Puerto Rico Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) for appointing Brad Dean as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the private non-profit corporation responsible for the promotion of the Island as a tourist destination abroad.

The chairman of the DMO Board of Directors, Jon Borschow, announced the appointment today and informed that Dean will begin his duties at the end of April.

Gobernador Rosselló Nevares recibe en La Fortaleza al nuevo principal oficial ejecutivo del DMO

(14 de marzo de 2018 – La Fortaleza, San Juan) El gobernador Ricardo Rosselló Nevares felicitó a la Junta de Directores de la Organización de Mercadeo de Destino de Puerto Rico (DMO, por sus siglas en inglés) por designar a Brad Dean como principal oficial ejecutivo de la corporación privada sin fines de lucro encargada de la promoción de la Isla como destino turístico en el exterior.

El presidente de la Junta de Directores del DMO, Jon Borschow, anunció hoy la designación e informó que Dean comenzará labores a finales de abril.

Gobernador Rosselló Nevares anuncia formalización de acuerdo entre Compañía de Turismo y DMO

(7 de marzo de 2018 – La Fortaleza, San Juan) El gobernador Ricardo Rosselló Nevares anunció que la Compañía de Turismo de Puerto Rico (CTPR) y la Corporación para la Promoción de Puerto Rico como Destino (DMO, por sus siglas en inglés) formalizaron un acuerdo oficial que establece el alcance de trabajo, servicios, y términos de la relación entre ambas organizaciones.

El acuerdo establece que, a partir del 1 de julio, el DMO asuma el mercadeo del destino en el exterior, y por ende releve a la CTPR de dicha responsabilidad.

Industria turística apoya medida del gobernador Rosselló Nevares para crear un DMO para la promoción de Puerto Rico

(13 de febrero de 2017 – La Fortaleza) El secretario de Asuntos Públicos y Política Pública de La Fortaleza, Ramón L. Rosario Cortés, anunció la presentación de un paquete de enmiendas sugeridas por la industria turística y la Compañía de Turismo al Proyecto del Senado 4 para crear la Organización de Mercadeo de Destino (Destination Marketing Organization o DMO).
