Puerto Rico está listo para recibir megacruceros

10 de noviembre de 2014 – La Fortaleza – El gobernador Alejandro García Padilla visitó esta mañana el muelle 3 en el Viejo San Juan donde se completó una tirada de 1,100 yardas de cemento para extender dicho muelle 183 pies adicionales hacia la Bahía de San Juan. Esto para prepararnos a recibir megacruceros entre los que se destaca el Quantum of the Seas, el segundo barco más grande del mundo, que llegará a la isla el 4 de diciembre de 2014 con sobre 7,000 turistas.

“Durante el trimestre julio-agosto-septiembre del año 2012, solamente llegaron al muelle de San Juan 102,000 pasajeros de crucero. Durante ese mismo periodo de tiempo, este año, llegaron sobre 250,000. Esperamos que durante este año fiscal el sector turístico rompa todos los record previos. Estamos haciendo mucho esfuerzo, como parte de nuestra agenda de desarrollo económico, moviendo a Puerto Rico”, destacó el primer ejecutivo durante su recorrido.
