Gobernador interino participa de actividad sobre prevención del abuso infantil

Ante unos 3,000 estudiantes de escuela intermedia y superior, el gobernador interino, David Bernier, ofreció un mensaje durante una actividad sobre la prevención del abuso infantil cibernético, organizada por el Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas de los Estados Unidos (ICE por sus siglas en inglés) y el Municipio de Trujillo Alto, en el marco del Mes de la Prevención del Abuso Infantil.

“Es una nueva realidad que les ha tocado a ustedes vivir -el acceso a la información de manera amplia- que tiene cosas buenas pero tiene también retos y dificultades. Hoy van a aprender aquí a cómo utilizar ese acceso privilegiado que tienen ustedes a la información y que sus padres y madres, de manera supervisada, les han hecho disponible para su bien, para su desarrollo y de forma segura”, destacó Bernier a los presentes.

Al evento, que se celebró en el Coliseo Rubén Zayas Montañez de Trujillo Alto, asistieron estudiantes de escuelas y colegios de ese municipio, San Juan y Carolina. Allí, los invitados tuvieron la oportunidad de aprender sobre los peligros que puede representar el uso de la Internet por medio de aplicaciones en sus tabletas y celulares, abordando los temas de prevención de pornografía infantil sexting, sextortion y ciber-acoso.
