Gobierno informa sobre reducción de gastos en empleados de confianza y gastos operacionales

(27 de junio de 2018 - Washington, DC) El secretario de Asuntos Públicos y Política Pública Ramón Rosario Cortés informó que en la actualidad La Fortaleza cuenta con 26% menos de empleados de confianza en comparación con la pasada administración.

Esto significa un 21% en gastos de nómina para un ahorro de $129,360.85 mensual y de $1,884,250.20 anuales.

Bajo la pasada Administración en el año 2016, La Fortaleza tenía 216 empleados de confianza con una nómina de $732,532.52 mensuales. Además, la cantidad de empleados de carrera era de 29.

El mismo día que juramentó el gobernador Ricardo Rosselló Nevares emitió una orden ejecutiva para tomar varias medidas fiscales para reducir gastos de empleados de confianza, contratos de servicios profesionales y gastos operacionales del Gobierno.

Hoy, La Fortaleza tiene 159 empleados de confianza con una nómina de $575,511.67 y 19 empleados de carrera.

“Este ejercicio de prudencia fiscal lo hemos replicado en todo el Gobierno con ahorros de cerca de $2,000 millones o 22% en gastos operacionales en comparación con el 2016 para poder asumir otras obligaciones como la de los retirados cuyas pensiones se pagan al presente del Fondo General. En nuestro presupuesto consolidado la reducción de gastos en el renglón de nómina ascienda a $350 millones anuales”, concluyó Rosario Cortés.
