Gobernador Rosselló Nevares se reúne con líder de la minoría Demócrata en el Senado federal

(22 de marzo de 2017—Washington, DC) El gobernador Ricardo Rosselló Nevares se reunió esta mañana con el líder de la minoría Demócrata en el Senado de Estados Unidos, Charles Schumer (D-NY), para afianzar su apoyo a favor de medidas vinculadas con Puerto Rico durante la discusión de la resolución continúa.

Durante la reunión, el senador Schumer le reiteró al gobernador su apoyo a la Isla en la discusión de medidas relacionadas a los fondos de salud como Medicaid. Además, discutieron otros proyectos de extrema importancia en la agenda del gobernador Rosselló Nevares como proyectos en el área de transportación, el dragado del Caño Martín Peña, y seguridad cibernética.

El primer ejecutivo estuvo acompañado en la reunión por el director de la Administración de Asuntos Federales, Carlos Mercader.

Schumer informó al gobernador su intención de visitar la Isla próximamente.
