Sistema 9-1-1 anuncia portal para combatir el Zika

2 de marzo de 2016 - San Juan - En aras de reforzar las medidas para la prevención del virus del Zika, la Junta de Gobierno del Servicio 9-1-1 anunció que los ciudadanos podrán reportar criaderos de mosquitos a través de su página web www.911puertorico.com. Así lo informó el director ejecutivo de la agencia, Juan Morales Vargas.

“Como parte de la responsabilidad que tiene el Servicio 9-1-1 con la salud de nuestro pueblo, hemos creado un enlace en nuestra página de internet para que toda persona que identifique un criadero de mosquitos en su comunidad pueda reportarlo. Tenemos que utilizar todos los recursos que tenemos disponibles para prevenir que más personas se sigan contagiando con este virus, especialmente las embarazadas”, dijo Morales Vargas.

Al acceder a la página web www.911puertorico.com, el usuario deberá completar un formulario, que una vez finalizado es enviado a la Agencia Estatal para el Manejo de Emergencias y Administración de Desastres. Además, los usuarios podrán encontrar toda la información relacionada al virus del ZIKA, así como métodos de prevención.

“También es importante recorder que los ciudadanos pueden reportar posibles criaderos de mosquitos y obtener más información sobre el Zika a través de la línea 3-1-1 de lunes a viernes de 7:00 a.m. a 7:00 p.m. Nuestro fin es promover la salud y proteger a nuestro pueblo”, afirmó el Director Ejecutivo.
