Secretario de Asuntos Públicos cataloga de absurdas y faltas de base legal alegaciones contra ayuda humanitaria para Venezuela

(La Fortaleza, 20 de febrero de 2019)- El secretario de Asuntos Públicos, licenciado Anthony Maceira, catalogó de absurdas y faltas de base legal las insinuaciones sobre el mecanismo de transportación de ayuda humanitaria a Venezuela.

“Resulta increíble que en al ánimo de ridiculizar el esfuerzo del gobierno de Puerto Rico, solidario con el pueblo venezolano y con su crisis humanitaria, haya quienes insinúen irregularidades de lo que es perfectamente legal.

La compañía EZ Shipping, a cargo de la transportación humanitaria, es una empresa con reconocido historial de transporte marítimo en la región del Caribe. La contratación para transportar sobre 250 toneladas de ayuda humanitaria, valorada en cerca de $2 millones, fue realizada conforme al Artículo 13.01 de la Ley 164 de 2009.

Solo se sostienen alegaciones como estas de quien pueda tener motivación política, desconozca el estado de derecho, o que le sea indiferente la injusticia por la que atraviesa este pueblo hermano.”
