Representantes y estudiantes de aviación en la Isla visitan La Fortaleza

30 de octubre de 2015 - La Fortaleza - El gobernador, Alejandro García Padilla, recibió en La Fortaleza a varios representantes y estudiantes del Instituto de Aviación y Mantenimiento de Puerto Rico (PRAMI, por sus siglas en inglés), y del Instituto de Aeronáutica y Aeroespacial de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recindo de Aguadilla. La visita formó parte de las actividades que se desarrollan en torno a la celebración de la Semana Aeroespacial en la isla.

El grupo de trabajo discutió temas relacionados al crecimiento que está experimentando la industria aeroespacial en Puerto Rico y la necesidad de fortalecer programas de educación postsecundaria en esta disciplina.

PRAMI es la única institución de mecánica de aviación certificada por la Administración Federal de Aviación en Puerto Rico y el Caribe.

Durante el encuentro, el Gobernador reconoció la importancia de PRAMI y el Instituto de Aeronáutica en la estrategia de desarrollo y crecimiento de este importante sector industrial para seguir impulsando el desarrollo económico del País.

El presidente de la UPR, Uroyoán Walker y el secretario de Educación, Rafael Román, participaron en la reunión.
