Regresan las Tardes de Navidad en La Fortaleza

3 de diciembre de 2016 – La Fortaleza- El gobernador Alejandro García Padilla y la primera dama, Wilma Pastrana Jiménez, abren las puertas de La Fortaleza por cuarto año consecutivo para celebrar la Navidad junto a todos los puertorriqueños. Comenzando mañana domingo, 4 de diciembre, y los subsiguientes dos domingos, se llevarán a cabo en los jardines de la Mansión Ejecutiva una serie de conciertos de Navidad a cargo de artistas locales.

Desde inicios de su administración, García Padilla implementó una política de puertas abiertas en el Palacio de Santa Catalina, instando a todos los puertorriqueño a visitar dicho patrimonio histórico. Para la primera familia del país, esta exhortación se hace aún más elocuente durante la temporada navideña, donde los valores de unidad familiar y las costumbres y tradiciones de la cultura puertorriqueña cobran mayor vigencia. Como en años anteriores los portones de la Mansión Ejecutiva abrirán desde las 3:00 pm para que el público general pueda libre de costo recorrer las instalaciones y posteriormente disfrutar del repertorio musical preparado.

Los conciertos iniciarán mañana con la participación de Hermes y Alex y Alejandro Croatto. El domingo 11 de diciembre, la oferta musical estará a cargo de Andy Montañez; mientras que el domingo 18 de diciembre, estas tardes de música navideña culminarán con la Banda de Conciertos de Puerto Rico, dirigida por Cucco Peña y con quienes La Fortaleza aprovechará para celebrar su 50 aniversario junto a otros artistas invitados.

Las Tardes de Navidad en La Fortaleza son auspiciadas por la Compañía de Turismo, quien aprovecha esta oportunidad para ofrecer a los miles de turistas que visitan Puerto Rico -durante esta temporada alta- una atractiva actividad cultural que contribuya a continuar promoviendo la isla. Asimismo, el evento cuenta con apoyo de WIPR, quien transmitirá todos los conciertos en vivo de 6:00 a 7:00 pm. Por su parte, los artistas invitados no cobrarán por su participación.
