Millonaria asignación para la Autoridad de Transporte Marítimo

22 de julio de 2013 – La Fortaleza – El gobernador Alejandro García Padilla convirtió en ley la Resolución Conjunta del Senado 138 que busca reasignar $5 millones a la Autoridad de Transporte Marítimo (ATM) para la reparación, mantenimiento y compra de equipos para las embarcaciones y terminales.

Con esta resolución se autoriza a la ATM a realizar gestiones con los gobiernos municipales, empresas privadas, así como cualquier departamento, agencia o corporación del gobierno para atender esta situación. Además permite el pareo de los fondos reasignados con aportaciones estatales, municipales o federales.

“El servicio que ofrece la ATM es sumamente importante no solo para los residentes de las islas municipio, sino también para los miles de turistas que visitan ambas islas y para el desarrollo de su economía. Es por esto que mi administración está comprometida en atender con prioridad la situación del trasporte marítimo", indicó García Padilla.

La primera sección de la resolución conjunta detalla que el dinero proviene de los balances disponibles de las Resoluciones Conjuntas 24-2012 y 51-2009 de donde se tomó una partida de $3.3 millones y $1.7 millones respectivamente, pues ambas tenían los fondos disponibles.

Al ser aprobada la ley, su puesta en vigor es de forma inmediata.
