La Fortaleza se ilumina de rosa para concienciar sobre la prevención de cáncer

El Palacio de Santa Catalina permanecerá iluminado de color rosa durante todo el mes de octubre, fecha en que se conmemora el mes de concienciación sobre el cáncer de seno. Así lo expresó la primera dama, Wilma Pastrana Jiménez, al recalcar la importancia de que toda mujer se realice los exámenes de rigor para ayudar a prevenir cualquier enfermedad. “Definitivamente queremos que todas las mujeres conozcan acerca de esta enfermedad, cómo prevenirla y ayudar a otras pacientes durante su proceso de sanación y lucha contra esta enfermedad. Lo más importante es la prevención, por eso nos unimos a la iniciativa ‘Enciéndete de Rosa’ que lleva a cabo la Sociedad Americana Contra el Cáncer de Puerto Rico. Queremos que toda la familia; niños, niñas, tíos, hermanos, abuelos y amigos se unan en este mensaje de vida y prevención”, indicó Pastrana Jiménez. La Sociedad Americana Contra el Cáncer de Puerto Rico ofrece orientación, servicios de cuidado y alojamiento a pacientes de cáncer, entre otros.
