Gobierno de Puerto Rico se une a reclamos internacionales en solidaridad con el Pueblo de Venezuela

(17 de julio de 2017 –La Fortaleza, San Juan) El Gobierno de Puerto Rico se unió a los reclamos internacionales para que el Gobierno de Venezuela reconozca los resultados del plebiscito ciudadano efectuado ayer en ese país.

“La salida a la crisis política en Venezuela radica en la celebración de elecciones libres, transparentes y democráticas. El Gobierno de Puerto Rico exhorta al Gobierno de Venezuela a reconocer la voluntad expresada por la mayoría de los venezolanos en el plebiscito ciudadano efectuado ayer”, manifestó el gobernador Ricardo Rosselló Nevares.

El primer ejecutivo de Puerto Rico reconoció “el valiente trabajo realizado en Caracas por los expresidentes Andrés Pastrana de Colombia, Laura Chinchilla de Costa Rica, Vicente Fox de México y Tuto Quiroga de Bolivia, quienes encabezaron una misión de observadores internacionales durante el evento plebiscitario en Venezuela”.

“Los gobiernos que creen y defienden los principios en que se fundamenta la democracia y los derechos humanos, deben manifestar su respaldo al Pueblo venezolano. Puerto Rico se une a ese reclamo de paz y democracia para Venezuela”, concluyó Rosselló Nevares.
