Gobernador y Primera Dama lideran programa Salud Vital

26 de octubre de 2015 - La Fortaleza - El gobernador, Alejandro García Padilla y la primera dama Wilma Pastrana Jiménez, encabezaron hoy la celebración de la segunda edición del programa Salud Vital en La Fortaleza.

La iniciativa, que consta de varias clínicas y cuyo propósito primordial es promover estilos de vida saludable en el ambiente laboral, se inició con éxito el pasado año mediante una orden ejecutiva.

La directriz busca, además, agrupar al personal que labora en el Palacio de Santa Catalina e instalaciones adscritas a la Oficina del Gobernador, bajo un ambiente de salud y cultura de trabajo integrada. Dispone también, que el Departamento de Salud será la agencia rectora para identificar factores de riesgo sobre algunas condiciones de salud, coordinación de cernimientos y desarrollo de asistencia técnica para el personal de trabajo, así como el seguimiento adecuado a los resultados obtenidos durante las pruebas realizadas.

Durante la actividad se ofrecieron orientaciones sobre aptitud física, nutrición, salud oral, salud mental y prevención de cáncer. Además los empleados y empleadas conocieron sus valores de presión arterial, índice de masa corporal, peso, glucosa y colesterol, entre otros importantes factores.
