Gobernador se reúne con el presidente de la República Dominicana

El gobernador Alejandro García Padilla se reunió con el presidente de la República Dominicana, Danilo Medina Sánchez, en La Fortaleza, donde discutieron las diferentes iniciativas de cooperación entre ambos países. Asimismo, el primer ejecutivo de Puerto Rico y el mandatario dominicano conversaron sobre la Comisión Conjunta de la República Dominicana y Puerto Rico y que busca trazar e impulsar acciones bilaterales importantes para promover el desarrollo de las dos naciones. En esta ocasión, Medina Sánchez vino acompañado de la delegación más numerosa que haya llegado al país, entre los que se destacan Andrés Navarro, ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Gustavo Montalvo, ministro de la Presidencia, José Ramón Peralta, ministro administrativo de la Presidencia, Ángel Estévez, ministro de Agricultura, Ligia Amada Melo, ministra de Educación Superior, José Del Castillo Saviñón, ministro de Industria y Comercio, Bautista Rojas Gómez, ministro de Medio Ambiente, mayor general Julio César Souffront, general presidente de la Dirección Nacional de Control de Drogas y el mayor general Manuel Castro Castillo, jefe de la Policía Nacional. Esta es una de las visitas más relevantes que realiza el presidente Danilo Medina en materia de cooperación regional.
