Gobernador Rosselló Nevares asiste a la audiencia especial del senador independiente Vargas Vidot

(17 de abril de 2017 – San Juan) El gobernador Ricardo Rosselló Nevares asistió hoy a una audiencia especial convocada por el senador independiente José Vargas Vidot, donde participaron los miembros del Teatro Correccional.

Durante la audiencia se presentó la obra Una experiencia con mis amigos en sustitución de las ponencias acostumbradas que se desarrollan en el Capitolio. La pieza presenta cómo un grupo de amigos y sus influencias terminan cambiando la vida a un joven y lo llevan a su arresto.

“Es importante que este mensaje de prevención se transmita a nuestros estudiantes y a toda la ciudadanía para continuar con nuestro esfuerzo de erradicar la violencia de las calles. Que sean los mismos miembros de la población correccional tiene mayor impacto, pues sus protagonistas vivieron en carne propia lo que hoy presentan y quieren evitar que otros jóvenes cometan sus mismos errores”, comentó el gobernador.

Desde hace unos 15 años, el Teatro Correccional ha llevado presentaciones a escuelas, iglesias y centros comunitarios y es dirigido por la actriz Elia Enid Cadilla. Entre los integrantes del Teatro Correccional hay confinados que cumplen condenas de mediana y mínima seguridad.
