Gobernador regresa a la capital federal

27 de junio de 2016 – La Fortaleza – El gobernador Alejandro García Padilla viajó hoy a Washington D.C. para continuar promoviendo la aprobación del proyecto PROMESA, que se encuentra ante la consideración del Senado federal. García Padilla ha reconocido que aunque imperfecta, esta medida federal permitirá hacerle frente a la crisis fiscal por la que atraviesa el país.

La administración de García Padilla busca obtener las herramientas necesarias que le permitan reestructurar la deuda pública y así frenar que se afecten los servicios esenciales que el gobierno le provee a los puertorriqueños.

El secretario de Estado, Víctor Suárez Melendez, fungirá como gobernador interino hasta el miércoles, 29 de junio, cuando se espera que García Padilla regrese al país.
