Gobernador impulsa agenda económica en la capital federal

28 de enero de 2015 - La Fortaleza – Debido a reuniones concertadas con varios congresistas estadounidenses, entre las que se encuentra una con el presidente del Comité de Recursos Naturales de la Cámara de Representantes, Rob Bishop, el gobernador Alejandro García Padilla informó hoy que extenderá su estadía en la capital federal hasta este viernes, 30 de enero de 2015.

Asimismo, García Padilla tendrá encuentros con los senadores Roger Wicker y Richard Blumenthal, republicano por Mississippi y demócrata por Connecticut, respectivamente. Los temas a discutirse serán la situación fiscal del país, oportunidades de desarrollo económico y energía renovable.

Igualmente, el primer ejecutivo ya sostuvo diálogos con varios miembros del Grupo de Trabajo en la Casa Blanca sobre Puerto Rico; entre estos, con Jerry Abramson, Stuart Delery, Luis Gutiérrez, Nydia Velázquez y Robert Menéndez.

El secretario de Estado, David Bernier, continuará como gobernador interino hasta este viernes.
