Gobernador felicita a Francisco Joglar al ser confirmado Secretario de Salud

13 de junio de 2013 – San Juan – El gobernador Alejandro García Padilla felicitó al nefrólogo Francisco Joglar Pesquera luego de haber sido confirmado en el Senado como secretario del Departamento de Salud. 

“El Dr. Joglar cuenta con una extensa experiencia profesional en el campo de la medicina, además de un compromiso personal para mejorar la salud de la población desde el Departamento de Salud mediante la promoción de la salud enfocada en la prevención. Su visión centrada en el paciente nos ayudará a adelantar nuestro compromiso de transformar el sistema de salud a uno de acceso universal para los puertorriqueños”, expresó el primer ejecutivo.

García Padilla aprovechó para agradecer a los senadores por su voto a favor de la designación del secretario.

Graduado de medicina del Recinto de Ciencias Médicas de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, Joglar Pesquera cuenta con una residencia en medicina interna y una especialidad en nefrología. Impartió cursos en su alma mater desde 1975 y se destacó como decano de este recinto entre el 1995 y el 2005.
