Gobernador continúa reuniéndose con funcionarios del Tesoro federal

8 de junio de 2016 – Washington, D.C. – El gobernador Alejandro García Padilla inició su agenda de reuniones en la capital federal con Jack Lew, secretario del Tesoro de Estados Unidos. También participó Antonio Weiss, consejero del secretario del Tesoro y oficiales de Casa Blanca.

El encuentro forma parte de las múltiples reuniones que sostendrá García Padilla en busca de enmendar el proyecto HR 5278.

García Padilla reconoció que el proyecto PROMESA propone las herramientas necesarias para que Puerto Rico reestructure su deuda pública, pero puede mejorar la disposición sobre la junta de supervisión fiscal.

El mandatario continuará los esfuerzos para lograr que se apruebe un proyecto justo que ayude a Puerto Rico a superar la crisis que enfrenta. El gobernador permanecerá en la capital federal en busca de apoyo tanto en el ejecutivo como legislativo federal.
