Gobernador continúa agenda de reuniones para atender la crisis fiscal

12 de mayo de 2016 – La Fortaleza – El gobernador Alejandro García Padilla continuará durante el día de hoy y mañana su agenda de trabajo con el fin de atender asuntos relacionados a la crisis fiscal que atraviesa Puerto Rico. Así también, continúa el esfuerzo de su administración de elevar el reclamo para alcanzar un proyecto que brinde las herramientas necesarias que permitan una reestructuración ordenada de la deuda pública, respete las instituciones democráticas del país y se establezcan medidas de desarrollo económico para la recuperación del país.

El mandatario sostendrá reuniones de trabajo con diferentes componentes del equipo que apoya a su administración en los esfuerzos para lograr que se atienda la situación de la isla.

Desde la llegada del primer ejecutivo a la más reciente jornada de trabajo en Estados Unidos, se han producido encuentros con grupos de acreedores y miembros del Congreso estadounidense.

El secretario de Estado, Víctor Suárez Meléndez, fungirá como gobernador interino hasta mañana viernes, 13 de mayo, cuando se espera el regreso de García Padilla.
