Gobernador asigna fondos al Proyecto ENLACE del Caño Martín Peña

El gobernador Alejandro García Padilla firmó hoy una orden ejecutiva para establecer que la Oficina de Gerencia y Presupuesto deberá incluir una asignación de $5,000,000 para la Corporación del Proyecto ENLACE del Caño Martín Peña en la preparación de los próximos presupuestos.

Esta asignación permitirá parear los $150,000,000 que fueron concedidos por el Congreso para comenzar la rehabilitación del caño. La administración de García Padilla se ha comprometido desde inicios del cuatrienio con este proyecto, entendiendo que el mismo repercutirá en el desarrollo económico, no solo de las comunidades aledañas al caño, sino de todo el país.

Con una inversión de cerca de $250,000,000 en infraestructura y la creación de miles de empleos, este proyecto redundará en beneficio para sobre 26,000 familias, protegerá el Estuario de la Bahía de San Juan y contribuirá a atenuar la crisis fiscal a través de la promoción del desarrollo social y económico de la zona.
