Declaraciones autorizadas del gobernador de Puerto Rico, Ricardo Rosselló Nevares:

(24 de enero de 2018 – La Fortaleza, San Juan) “La Autoridad de Energía Eléctrica (AEE) ha estado enviando facturas a clientes de residenciales públicos que no cuentan con el servicio energético, sustentando dicho proceder en que su tarifa es fija por disposición de ley.

Como dijimos desde un principio, ningún cliente pagará por un servicio que no recibió. Por eso firmamos el Proyecto del Senado 666 para que los residentes de los condominios no tengan que pagar por la generación que realizaron sus generadores eléctricos privados mientras el servicio de la AEE estuvo interrumpido.

He impartido instrucciones a la AEE para que no cobren por servicios no provistos a estos clientes de tarifa fija en los residenciales, al igual que deben hacer con todos los clientes que no tienen servicio”.
