Declaraciones autorizadas del gobernador de Puerto Rico, Ricardo Rosselló Nevares:

(7 de noviembre de 2017 – La Fortaleza, San Juan) “Los representantes de la Junta de Supervisión Fiscal que hoy comparecieron ante el Comité de Recursos Naturales del Congreso de los Estados Unidos insisten en poner en peligro los recursos necesarios para el pago de pensiones y la estabilidad de empleos, justo cuando nuestro Pueblo se encuentra haciendo el mayor esfuerzo para lograr regresar a la normalidad luego de recibir el impacto de dos huracanes catastróficos.

Durante la audiencia de hoy los representantes de la Junta evidenciaron desconocimiento sobre el proceso de recuperación en Puerto Rico, presentando cifras incorrectas relacionadas a las condiciones existentes en la Isla.

Invito nuevamente a la Junta de Supervisión Fiscal a colaborar para que el Gobierno de Puerto Rico, conjuntamente con el apoyo del Gobierno federal, facilite la recuperación más rápida posible de nuestra Isla en lugar de condicionar la ayuda que corresponde a los ciudadanos americanos residentes en Puerto Rico, a que sea la Junta quien asuma el rol administrativo que corresponde al Gobierno electo por los puertorriqueños”.
