Celebran impacto a 90 mil estudiantes en proyecto educativo de prevención

7 de diciembre de 2016 - Manatí - La primera dama, Wilma Pastrana Jiménez, celebró junto a varios miembros de la Policía de Puerto Rico, del Departamento de Educación y del Departamento de Justicia, el impacto a unos 90,000 jóvenes estudiantes del sistema educativo en áreas de prevención, autoestima y desarrollo personal.

“Por los pasados años hemos apostado a programas y herramientas de verdadera prevención como Juventud de Voluntad Firme, para que nuestra juventud se nutra de esa experiencia educativa que transforma sus vidas. Personalmente he compartido con nuestros estudiantes en todas las regiones educativas del país y con el personal de la Policía de Puerto Rico, quienes se han dado a la tarea de rescatar a nuestros jóvenes con iniciativas innovadoras como es este proyecto de desarrollo e impacto comunitario. Es un honor contar con este equipo de trabajo, su labor tiene que continuar esparciéndose a todas las comunidades por el bien de nuestro país”, sostuvo Pastrana Jiménez al agradecer al superintendente de la Policía, José L. Caldero López, la colaboración interagencial junto al sistema educativo.

Por su parte, el Superintendente resaltó la labor de cada miembro de la uniformada y exhortó a los alumnos a continuar trabajando junto a la Policía en la labor educativa y de servicio al País.

Los estudiantes participantes en el evento, que tuvo lugar en el Coliseo Juan Aubín Cruz de Manatí, acudieron desde varias escuelas en los municipios de Aibonito, Aguada, Cayey, Corozal, Arecibo, Vega Baja, Manatí, Ciales, Bayamón, Sabana Grande, Juana Díaz, Rio Grande, Morovis y Toa Baja.
